Welcome

We are a diverse Church family who gather regularly to worship God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and to support and care for each other and our beautiful church - the largest parish church building in Kent.

We believe in
Safe Church

St Mary of Charity Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.  We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs.  The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.  If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA.  If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We believe in
Inclusive Church

Inclusive Church does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality.  We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.

We believe in

We have strong links with our wonderful St Mary of Charity Church of England Primary School.  In addition, schools across Faversham share many special times with us, as do the community in general.
