Why Church?
Churches are communities of faith focused on God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In God, we find infinite inherent love, hope, healing, understanding, redemption, grace, forgiveness, meaning, purpose, value, worth, justice, peace.
Where else do we find this love given without measure - the best medicine for every individual
and for the world as a whole?
Why Church?
Treena Field
"At the time I started coming to church I had just lost my Mum and was feeling pretty lost myself. Walking into church that first time on my own gave me a feeling I've never experienced before. It was like coming home and suddenly feeling complete, safe, and calm. I still feel the same every time I walk in Church."
Graham Dorkins
"Jesus is always with me and supporting me and has done so through some very tough recent times for me."
Patrick Mulcahy
"Why I am a Christian? It is in the words of a character in happy valley. ‘Complicated’. It seemed to me a long time ago that love is the answer to most of the world's ills and that was the path I chose. Weekly worship has kept me grounded if often struggling with what the loving thing to do is in very challenging and complex human and international relationships."
Miranda Ford
"Jesus is my life, using my gifts to share His life is what He asks me to do. I am never more uplifted than when I am working as a Community and Mission volunteer throughout the Benefice, particularly with our young people. Also when supporting Lay people in the Deanery and Diocese as their Chair, it’s a real privilege to share with others, knowing that God is always closer than the air we breathe."
